Shakespeare in the Park: A Magical Summer in Wilanów

It's time for a summer full of art and magic in Warsaw! If you are a fan of William Shakespeare's work, or you are simply looking for amazing summer entertainment, we have something special for you. We are pleased to announce that the series of performances "Shakespeare in the Park" is returning to the Royal Gardens of the Wilanów Palace! The performances began on July 1 and will last until August 3, 2025.

What awaits you? On the summer stage you will see two performances that have been captivating audiences around the world for years: "Twelfth Night" and the cult "A Midsummer Night's Dream", which will be performed for the last time this season. This is a great opportunity to see with your own eyes the amazing interpretations of these works performed by excellent Polish actors.

Twelfth Night is a comedy about love, role reversals and misunderstandings. It takes place in the fairy-tale Illyria and tells the story of siblings Viola and Sebastian, who are separated as a result of a shipwreck. Viola, wanting to find her brother, disguises herself as a man and ends up at the court of Duke Orsino. There, among mysterious meetings, comic mistakes and love intrigues, we will find plenty of laughter and surprises. The play was directed by John Weisgerber, and the cast includes Bartek Kasprzykowski, Szymon Roszak, Tamara Arciuch and Piotr Gawron-Jedlikowski.

"A Midsummer Night's Dream" will take us to a fairytale forest, where reality mixes with magic, and love shows its many faces. The potions of Puck and other forest inhabitants cause countless comic situations and change the course of the characters' love relationships. The magical atmosphere of the show is complemented by the costumes by Marek Idzikowski and the choreography created by Ewelina Adamska-Porczyk.

Performances take place at 7:30 p.m., giving you the opportunity to spend warm, summer evenings in the unique atmosphere of the Wilanów gardens. A special picnic zone will be waiting for you with open arms! Bring blankets, chairs, and baskets with your favorite snacks to make the most of the theatrical evening in the fresh air.

And the best part? Ticket prices are exceptionally affordable! A regular ticket costs only PLN 10, and a reduced ticket only PLN 5. This is a great opportunity to enjoy a cultural event without breaking your budget. Tickets can be purchased through the Wilanów Palace website, where you will also find more information about the program and organizational decisions.

We can't wait to see you at these magical performances. Weekend afternoons and evenings in Warsaw throughout July and early August can become even more special with "Shakespeare in the Park".
