### BUW Roof Garden – Green Oasis in the Heart of Warsaw

Have you ever dreamed of a moment of respite among greenery, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, while remaining in the heart of the capital? If so, the Garden on the Roof of the University Library in Warsaw is a place worth visiting this season! Who would have expected that such a beautiful and diverse green space would float above rooms full of books and students studying?

The BUW rooftop garden, designed by Irena Bajerska, opened its gates in 2002 and has since become one of Warsaw’s jewels. Located at 56/66 Dobra Street, this rooftop paradise is not only one of the largest of its kind in Europe, but also a place of extraordinary diversity. Divided into upper and lower sections, it offers visitors a harmonious blend of nature and art.

The upper part of the garden extends to the roof of the library, and guests are particularly impressed by the division of space into thematic gardens: gold, silver, crimson, green and entrance. Each of these corners has its own unique atmosphere, emphasized by colors and scents that change with the seasons.

At the bottom we find a more extensive area, where the central point is a pond with cascading water, around which ducks live - a paradise for nature lovers! Add to this the granite sculptures of Ryszard Stryjecki and we get a place that delights both naturalists and art lovers.

The garden is open all summer, from 8:00 to 20:00, offering free admission to all interested. It is a great place for a walk, a picnic or a moment of reflection in the bosom of nature with a view of Warsaw and the Vistula.

Although the garden is scheduled to be closed for special events on July 4, until then you can enjoy its charms and maybe even take part in one of the many events organized there, such as outdoor concerts or art events.
