If you are looking for a unique cultural event in Warsaw, we recommend the exhibition "1945. Not the End, Not the Beginning" at the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews. You can currently visit it until September 15, 2025.
This special exhibition, organized on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, brings closer the dramatic choices that Polish Jews faced after the war. Survivors of the Holocaust, they were forced to find their way back in a devastated world. Through photographs, documents and personal mementos, you will learn the individual stories of those who struggled with the dilemmas: to stay or to emigrate?
The exhibition not only takes us into the historical context, but also introduces a dialogue with the present through the works of artists such as Marek Cecuła and Alicja Bielawska. Their modern works, using various artistic forms, enrich the message of the exhibition and give it a unique character.
It is also worth mentioning that the event is accompanied by numerous guided tours and scientific conferences, which bring the exhibition's subject matter even closer. Tickets are available at PLN 30 (regular) and PLN 25 (concession). Details about the accompanying events can be found on the POLIN Museum website.
Visit the exhibition and discover the unknown story of the post-war fate of Polish Jews. It is not only a history lesson, but above all an emotional experience and a chance to understand the difficult choices of those times.
