Ewa Curie and Maria Skłodowska-Curie at the exhibition in Warsaw

If you are fascinated by the life and work of Maria Skłodowska-Curie, as well as the extraordinary achievements of her family, be sure to visit the exhibition "Ewa o Maria. Historia poboczny" at the Maria Skłodowska-Curie Museum in Warsaw. The exhibition, available from December 18, 2024 until the end of August 2025, is dedicated to the biography of this outstanding scientist, written by her younger daughter, Ewa Curie.

"Madame Curie", known in Poland as "Maria Curie", was and is a phenomenon on a global scale - it has been reprinted in over 80 countries! The exhibition offers an extraordinary opportunity to see various editions of the book, from Japanese to Finnish, as well as Polish editions, which have been published as many as 23 times.

Interestingly, Eva Curie, the author of the book, was not only the daughter of a famous scientist, but also a woman of many talents. A scientist and philosopher by education, she chose a career as a model, later a pianist, and during World War II she served as a war correspondent. Her life took place in the shadow of great world events, and at the same time was full of unusual professional choices.

The Museum also displays unique notes and drawings that Maria's daughter created during meetings with her friends in Poland. These resources allow visitors to the exhibition to discover many previously unknown facts about their mother's life.

The exhibition is available from Tuesday to Sunday, and admission is free on Tuesdays. For visitors, it is not only an opportunity to deepen their knowledge of Maria Skłodowska-Curie, but also a chance to immerse themselves in the family history of her daughter, an ambiguous figure of the 20th century. Don't miss this unique exhibition and visit the Museum at ul. Freta 16!
