1025. The Birth of the Kingdom – a unique exhibition at the Citadel in Warsaw

In the heart of Warsaw, at the Citadel, a unique exhibition "1025. Birth of the Kingdom" takes place, taking us back to the times of the first king of Poland - Bolesław the Brave. This fascinating exhibition will be available only until June 29, 2025 at the Polish History Museum, so if you haven't visited it yet, you have a little over a month to do so!

Organized on the occasion of the 1000th anniversary of the coronation of Bolesław the Brave, the exhibition allows for a journey through early medieval Poland. The riches and incredible traditions of that period are revealed to visitors through over 500 exhibits. From archaeological objects to extraordinary works of goldsmithing art, which can normally only be seen in tightly closed vaults.

This is not a typical exhibition, however – five thematic modules present the everyday life, culture and beliefs of the inhabitants of old Poland. The chance to come into contact with history not only by watching, but also by touching or smelling the exhibits makes this exhibition truly interactive. Starting from ancient castles, through Christian traditions, to the corners hidden in the nooks of the royal treasury – you will discover a rich array of histories of intertwining cultures.

For history buffs and storytellers, this is a real treat. Plan your visit today and immerse yourself in a world that remains a fascinating introduction to the present day.

Address: Polish History Museum, ul. Gwardii 1, Warsaw Citadel. Ticket prices start at PLN 10, making this event accessible to anyone interested. We invite you to discover the secrets of a kingdom from a thousand years ago!
